Background and Objective:
In recent years, people have increasingly experienced unusual heat, heavy rainfall, and other noticeable changes in climate conditions. At the same time, maintaining clean air remains essential for protecting human health and ensuring a safe and sustainable quality of life. These issues of climate change and air pollution are closely interconnected.
This forum will introduce initiatives undertaken in Niigata and other communities and explore what each of us can do to help address the challenges of climate change and air pollution.
This forum is being held in conjunction with the 28th Session of the Intergovernmental Meeting on the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET), which marks the network’s 25th anniversary and will take place in Niigata this year.
