Courtesy Visit by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Niigata to ACAP

On July 2, 2026, Mr. Weilei Cui, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Niigata, and Mr. Yanqiu Bai, Consul, made a courtesy visit to the Asia Center for Air Pollution Research (ACAP). They were welcomed by ACAP Director General Dr. Toshimasa Ohara, Deputy Director General Dr. Toru Hayashi, and other staff members.

During the visit, ACAP introduced its activities as the Network Center of the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) and exchanged views on international cooperation in addressing atmospheric environmental issues in East Asia. Discussions also highlighted ongoing cooperation and exchanges in the environmental field.
The delegation also toured ACAP’s research facilities and analytical laboratories, gaining a deeper understanding of the Center’s research and technical activities.

ACAP will continue to promote regional environmental cooperation and work closely with its partners in East Asia to address shared air quality and environmental challenges.
