
On 7-11 September 2026, Dr. Junichi Kurokawa, Head of the Data Management Department, Asia Center for Air Pollution Research (ACAP), participated in the 2026 International Blue Sky Conference/Symposium & Workshop held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea as an invited speaker.
The conference brought together experts from international organizations, government agencies, and research institutions to discuss scientific and policy approaches for addressing air pollution and related environmental challenges.

Dr. Kurokawa spoke in Session 3 of Symposium held on 7 September, “From Science to Governance: Building Effective Policy Responses to PM2.5 and Ozone,” and delivered a presentation entitled “Regional Emission Inventories for PM₂.₅ and Ozone Management: From Source Identification to Policy Design.” In addition, on the first day (8 September) of the four-day Workshop held from 8 to 11 September, he delivered a lecture entitled “Development and Application of Emission Inventories in Asia.”
ACAP will continue to contribute to regional cooperation and the advancement of science-based air quality management through its activities and collaboration with partners in Asia.
