Under the Strategic Research Project (S-7 project) supported by Environment Research and Technology Development Fund of the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, we are carrying on the research activities on the solution for the transboundary air pollution problems in East Asia. In order to introduce the achievement of S-7 project and have an opportunity to think about regional air pollution issues in East Asia in general, the public symposium was held in Tokyo. The symposium was well-attended by about 60 persons. The participants listened intently to presentations and exchanged the views at question and answer session with the presenters.
